Dyeing is one of the 39 forbidden categories of work on Shabbat.
If one's hands are colored from eating fruit on Shabbat, one must be careful not to touch clothes and make them dirty.
So too, if one has a bloody nose, one should not use a cloth; especially a red one.

I´ve think that he should use a red one, not? If he use a white one then he is coloring, isn´t that so?
ReplyDeleteNo. For 2 related reasons.
ReplyDelete1. You really don’t want the white one to be red; you're hoping it'll be temporary and you'll be able to wash it off.
2. The blood dyes the red one and makes it more/better red; you're happy to have the red one retain its color and don’t mind of it doesn’t come off in the wash.
Thanks for the answer i look it up in kitzur hilchos shabbes - probably i´ve learn uncorrect.. :-)
