Halocho #805 - Neighbors's wall; is it yours?

One may not do activities in one's own property that would cause damage to the neighbors.

One may not pour water or other liquids - even from a drainpipe - near the neighbors's wall.

One may not store warm things near a neighbors's wall - including compost - as the heat damages the wall.

In both these cases one has to move the potential damage away; at least 3 Tefachim (24 cm, 9") from the wall.

Halocho #741 - Diverting trouble

One may not divert trouble if it will then go to a fellow Jew. However, before the damage arrives, one may protect oneself from being damaged, even if somebody else may suffer as a result.

For example: If a river overflows into one's garden, one may not divert nor drain it, in a manner that will then flood a neighbour's garden.

However, before the river arrives near one's property, one is allowed to create a barrier, even if it would then go to a neighbour should it overflow, since the neighbour could also protect themself beforehand.

Halocho #721 - In my house I'll do what I feel like?

You are not allowed to cause other people damage or even discomfort - even if you are in your own home and they are in the street or in their home.

The exception being those things that "everybody does" and they are accepted as the norm in that area.

Halocho #717 - Banana peels

It is forbidden to throw items into the street - or anywhere that people walk - if it could cause damage.

This includes glass items and slippery items.

If one dropped something dangerous one is responsible for the damage it causes and one has an obligation to clean it up.

Halocho #715 - Noise pollution

If one has a neighbor who suffers from headaches caused by noise, one must make sure to take them into account; one may not use a hammer if the neighbor will hear it and suffer.

The same would apply to loud music during siesta or after they have put their kids to bed.
