Halocho #237 - Look after the crumbs

Throwing away crumbs is bad for ones livelihood - and can cause poverty.
One should gather them up and give them to the birds.

  1. Back to back - Leftover bread crumbs to leftover oil & wicks. This illustrates the concept of Semuchim - Torah sections or Pesukim placed next to each other to learn out a common Halacha or common theme. It's also interesting to note that today's date of 3 Teves is the last day of Chanuka in some years. Real Shirayim - Torah "Leftovers".
